Meet the Office Staff of Maine Coast Construction

Senior Vice President Mark DeMichele has been with Maine Coast Construction since he moved to Maine in 1986. Besides building and renovating commercial and residential buildings, Mark also uses his construction skills to preserve historic buildings.   He has a degree in American History from Seton Hall University and has been a member of the Camden Historic Resources Committee since 2007 and the National Trust for Historic Preservation since 1985.  Mark lives in Camden and enjoys fishing, bicycling and hiking.

Vice President David Luckman is a cabinet maker by trade and is a 1987 graduate of the Bristol Plymouth Regional Technical School carpentry program.  While in school, David worked part time constructing log homes.  He has been with Maine Coast Construction for 25 years and has worked as the Construction Manager for the last 11.  David is a resident of Thomaston and loves hunting and fishing.

Project Manager Randy Boyer has worked for Maine Coast Construction for 20 years. He has overseen the construction of Lyman Morse, Journey’s End Marina, and the ongoing Front Street Shipyard to name a few.  Randy lives with his wife, Jeanie, in Warren and enjoys cooking, gardening, hunting and fishing.

John Davee has served as President and CEO of MCCC for the last twelve years.  He is a 1981 graduate of the University of Maine and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology.   After college, John worked 5 years as an Operator and Quality Control Engineer for Maine Yankee Atomic Power plant and worked for one year at the Connecticut Yankee Atomic Power Plant as a Quality Control Shift Supervisor.  John has 21 years of diversified experience at Maine Coast Construction including steel construction, project coordination, radon mitigation, and commercial estimating.  He is a Certified Structural Welder, a Level 3 welding, structural, and electrical inspector, and a State of Maine registered Radon Service Provider.  John lives in the neighboring town of Hope. John has coached little league in Hope for the past seven years and coaches Pen Bay Soccer in the fall. He also enjoys skiing, boating, golfing, gardening, and taking care of his dogs, cats and chickens.

Administrative Assistant Rachel Albury joined the MCCC team this past winter.  Rachel is a graduate of the University of Maine Business School.  Before joining Maine Coast Construction, Rachel worked for three years in IT and sales for a natural supplement manufacturer.  Rachel lives in Rockland and volunteers for Youthlinks and her hometown’s low power radio station, WRFR.

Chief Financial Officer Shawna Higgins has been with Maine Coast Construction for 12 years. Shawna graduated from UMA with an associate’s degree in business management majoring in accounting. Living in the woods of Jackson Maine, she enjoys the outdoors, fishing with her husband and playing with her dogs.

Project Manager and Handyman Chris Ryan has been an employee of Maine Coast Construction for 13 years. Chris is an ‘89 graduate of the Belfast Area High School and before working at Maine Coast Construction Chris worked, and later became partners, in a small saw mill.  Seven years later he changed jobs and worked for a custom cabinet shop before joining Maine Coast Construction in 1999. Chris lives in Belmont with his wife Jessica and family pets.
